Banaue, Ifugao- Three banner programs under the Department of Agriculture distributed some 11 million worth of farm implements to 11 municipalities of Ifugao.

The Department of Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol’ s visit in Ifugao in his continuing quest to consult with farmers on how to reformat the Philippine Agriculture has brought interventions that would benefit 47 farmers group in the province.


The distribution of machineries and assorted seedlings to the province is part of the department’s commitments to its constituents in 2016 according to Dr. Lorenzo M. Caranguian, DA- RFO Regional Executive Director.

Identified beneficiaries of farm implements and inputs are: Aguinaldo Pamhochan Multipurpose Cooperative, Golden Harvest Association, Unig Farmers Association, Jacmal Greenfield Farmers Association, Western Country Farmers Association, Monggayang Farmers Association, Farmers Economic Multipurpose Organization (FEMO), Ifugao Tapioca Growers Association, Mabanutan Naponglot Organization, Samahan Para sa Kaunlaran ng Dolowog, Namillangan Farmers Association, CAPIKI Farmers Association, Busilac Farmers Irrigators Association Inc., Alfonso Lista Organic FA, Asipulo Farmers Association, MLGU Asipulo, Bocos Farmers Organization, MLGU Banaue, MLGU Hingyon, Hungduan Heirloom Rice Producers Assoc., Bangbang Farmers and Irrigators Association, MLGU Hungduan, Asipulo Tinoc Kankana-ey Farmers Ass'n, MLGU Kiangan, Buyabuyan Farmers Organization, Kallubong Boliwong Farmers Assoc., PAENRO Bahawit Nursery, Tungod Organic Practitioners Association, St. John Credit & Development Cooperative Incorporated, Tupaya Indigenous Farmers Association, Samahang Magsasaka ng Bulao, Bukang Liwayway Rural Improvement Club, Siera Madre RIC, Masagana Rural Improvement Club, Lamut Organic Practitioners Assoc., Mayoyao Organic Practitioners Assoc., MLGU Mayoyao, MLGU Tinoc, and AHIN Farmers Organization as beneficiaries of these interventions.

The Municipality of Aguinaldo received 1 unit Four Wheel Drive Corn Tractor, 1 unit Mechanical Sheller, 1 unit Corn Planter, 1 unit Cassava Pulverizer, and 2 units Open Source Pump with a total amount of 2,650,858.00 pesos.

Alfonso Lista received 1 unit Four Wheel Drive Corn Tractor, 1 unit Four Wheel Drive Cassava Tractor, 1 unit Cassava Granulator cum Shredder, 1 unit Mechanical Sheller, 4 units Open Source Pump and 210 kilos of Molasses with a total amount of 5,101,298.00 pesos

Asipulo received 1 unit Corn Mill and 15 bags OPV White Corn Seeds at 385,000.00 pesos.

Banaue received 5 units Knapsack sprayer, 1 pack Assorted Vegetable seeds (Lettuce green fire 5g, Upo 50g, Chinese cabbage 50g, Tomato 9g, Bush Sitao 15g, Broccoli 10g, Lettuce ice berg 5g, French beans 500g, Okra 50g) and 15 bags OPV White Corn Seeds with a total of  57,268.85 pesos.
