The Basic Dairy Management Training for Batch 2024 to 2025 was concluded on April 11, 2025 at the Dairy Project Site, within the Baguio Animal Breeding and Research Center (BABRC) in Dontogan, Baguio City.
The event celebrated the achievements of twenty-two (22) dedicated individuals and on-the-job trainees from Ifugao State University and Benguet State University.
The training program, designed to equip participants with essential skills for dairy production, was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Bryan David N. Pumps-an, Farm Superintendent I, and Ms. Lovelyn Calinsuay, Agriculturist I. Participants gained hands-on experience in various areas including pre-milking, milking operations, and post-milking activities, as well as animal health care, feeding, and pasture maintenance.
The program aimed to prepare graduates for successful careers in the dairy industry while emphasizing sustainable practices in agricultural development. In his address to the graduates, Dr. Kevin Jim B. Luna, Assistant Division Chief of the Regulatory Division, encouraged the participants to embrace their newfound skills and strive to make significant contributions to the field of dairy production.
