The Department of AgricultureโCordillera Administrative Region (DA-CAR) successfully conducted the Second Batch Training on the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture Profiling Platform for Local Government Units (RSBSAAPP-LGU), reinforcing its commitment to enhance agricultural data management, strengthen farmer profiling, and fast-track RSBSA encoding in the system for faster and more efficient processes. The training gathered representatives from various LGUs across the Cordillera to build their technical capacity in effectively utilizing the RSBSAAPP-LGU platform.
Participants were oriented on the systemโs features, functions, and role in streamlining profiling and registration. The training clarified documentary requirements and compliance processes to ensure standardized and accurate data entry. Dr. Susan D. Balanza, Division Chief of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division and RSBSA Focal Person, opened the session with a discussion on the Data Privacy Act, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding personal information and ensuring transparency and accountability in government-led initiatives.
Dina L. Castro, Data Management Officer, provided an overview of the RSBSA process, covering profiling, registration, updating forms, endorsement letters, and georeferencing. Junilyn B. Mapili, Data Management Officer, highlighted the systemโs mechanism, including the flowchart on RSBSA encoding, and explained that implementation is voluntary for interested Municipal LGUs, provided they meet the minimum requirements. Together, these components ensure a dynamic and reliable database that supports government programs and interventions for the agriculture sector.
By equipping LGUs with the skills to manage the RSBSAAPP-LGU system, DA-CAR ensures efficient, secure, and responsive data collection for the basic sectors in agriculture. The department will continue conducting similar training sessions across the region, with the implementation of the RSBSAAPP-LGU remaining voluntary for interested LGUs that meet the minimum requirements. This initiative empowers local governments through digital innovation, strengthening agricultural data management and enhancing service delivery for farmers and fisherfolk.//JPOligo, RSBSA Program
