The Department of Agricultureโ€“Cordillera Administrative Region (DA-CAR) successfully hosted the National Assessment and Planning Workshop for the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) on December 9-12, 2025, at Skyworld Hotel, Baguio City. The event brought together representatives from DA regional offices and attached agencies and bureaus to evaluate the accomplishments of Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 and set priorities for the coming year.
The workshop reviewed the progress of RSBSA implementation, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in strengthening the registry system that supports farmers, fisherfolk, and other agricultural stakeholders. It also provided a platform to align strategies, update policies, and enhance digital platforms to ensure data accuracy and transparency.
In his remarks, Dir. Danilo P. Daguio, Regional Technical Director for Operations, emphasized the importance of data correctness and accuracy, noting that reliable information is vital to delivering timely interventions and ensuring government programs reach the right beneficiaries.
Key discussions included policy updates, farmer profiling guidelines, the status of the registry database at national and regional levels, and ongoing data quality improvements. Updates on farm parcel georeferencing, agency convergence, and platform enhancements were also presented.
