Around 400 personnel of the Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR), composed primarily of Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers, were assisted and oriented on various social services being provided by the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG fund on January 12, 2026 at the DA-CAR grounds in Guisad, Baguio City.
This activity served as a one-stop shop that enabled the personnel to avail of the different social services primarily on membership application, updating of personal information, and request for Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus in one venue.
This was emphasized by DA-CAR Regional Executive Director Atty. Jennilyn Dawayan in her opening message, encouraging the personnel to maximize the access to insurance, housing and facility, and healthcare services offered by the social service providers.
The SSS presented their social security services essentially providing protection against the hazards of disability, sickness, maternity, old age, death, and other contingencies resulting in the loss of income or financial burden.
PhilHealth, on its part, presented its health insurance coverage to new and current registered members and ensured affordable, acceptable, and accessible health care services. Meanwhile, Pag-IBIG Fund discussed its primary services, which included housing loans and savings programs.
The service providers, after the orientation, assisted the personnel on their membership application, updating of personal information, and issuance of Pag-IBIG Fund loyalty card, among others.// JTLlanes
